Getting your Feet Wet:
The Shoredive adventure is exactly as it says, you start by getting your feet wet, and then work your way through the tidal zone seeing some incredible creatures.
We will guide you on a 1-2 hour tour through the Cape, shore diving some of the most popular, or the most secretive spots along the Cape coastline.

FREEDIVING
Freediving is a form of underwater diving that relies on the diver’s ability to hold their breath, rather than using a breathing apparatus such as scuba gear. Freedivers may use fins and other diving equipment to help them swim deeper and faster, but they do not carry air tanks or use regulators to breathe while underwater.

No Tank… No Problem!!! We are here to Freedive.
Boat Freedives go out once monthly, and allow you to experience those far-to-reach places.
The dives will consist of three of four dive sites, duration of 4 hours, and will fluctuate between shallow and deep diving. Your tour guide and buddy will escort you through this freedive, to make your dive most enjoyable.

Apnea
Apnea is the temporary suspension of breathing. In the context of freediving, apnea refers to the act of holding one’s breath while underwater. Freedivers often practice apnea in order to increase their ability to hold their breath and to dive to deeper depths.

Unique to behold on land and water:
Our experienced tour guides will book a special trip for you into the Cape Point Nature Reserve. This will include entry into the reserve, refreshments and a diving experience inside the famous Table Mountain National Park.
Time to Have som fun!!!
The dive will be shore based, as no diving gear is allowed on any watercraft. Entry and exit will be within the bays of Cape Point, where various fish species can be seen, and interesting structures that formed the unique peninsula can be observed under water.
Note that some dive sites might require a light hike or a climb, these sites are often the most precious and enjoyable.

Please let your dive leader know well in advance if you are not prepared for a small walk.

Durban Freedive Adventure

Warm and BLUE!!!
Durban Freedive Trips will be arranged quarterly, and diving will be both for the shallow and deep diver. The diving will be arranged from boat, and we are at the mercy of the skipper and the weather conditions.
No Effort is Spared:
Our highly experienced Durban staff will take you on a trip of a lifetime to see such sites as The Cathedral, Blood Reef, Aliwal Shoal, Potea Banks (SA’s fastest drift dive), and other common dive sites.
Dives will be 4 hours, and cover various pinnacles and drifts over some of Durban’s most popular reefs.
