Charl Marais Freediving

I Grew up in Namibia, in a small harbour town. It is there, that from birth I came to love and respect the ocean. I have always had desire to share my knowledge, and help people. 

As a PADI Freediver Instructor Trainer for PADI EMEA, and Scientist I strive to share any and all knowledge I have to the betterment of the people I meet. I complted my MSc in Biology and training in medical physiology, which gives me a unique perspective in my passion of training freedive instructors in South Africa, Mauritius and Sri Lanka. Being a dynamic person of two worlds, the publishing of scientific articles assisted me greatly with developing and publishing PADI accredited specialty, and professional trining courses. A crowning moment was the registration of the PADI Freediver Staff instructor course, Which I find myself teaching freediving nationally and internationally. The journey of freediving has expanded my horizons and I believe in creating opportunities for all, I focus on training freedive instructors to start their own freedive businesses or find employment in current businesses.
