What Is Freediving?
FEEL THE OCEAN...
Freediving is to be free underwater on a single breath, rather than using a breathing apparatus such as scuba gear. Freedivers do underwater breath-hold diving with only their fins and a snorkel to reach the same depths, and explore the ocean more freely, being in touch with nature, and close to our roots in the ocean in the most natural way possible.
We freedive for various reasons, including recreational diving, competitive diving, sustainable spearfishing, and kelp-forest snorkelling.
Freediving is also meditative, to be in the water calms the mind.
What is Apnea?

To state it simply Apnea is to hold your breath, and as our name says, we are addicted to underwater breath-hold diving at the Apnea Addicts Feediving. We often practice apnea in order to increase their ability to hold their breath and to dive to deeper depths, but also to ensure that we know what our bodies are comfortable with.
Apnea can be practiced in a variety of ways, including static apnea (holding one’s breath while floating stationary in the water) and dynamic apnea (swimming underwater while holding one’s breath) – This is one of our favourites!
Apnea is an important skill for freedivers to master, as it allows them to stay underwater for longer periods of time and to dive to greater depths. We train, in order to understand the breathold and to be safe in the water.
